Try one is all I can say, especially if you tend to get a lot of spin on your drives causing them to balloon and robbing you of distance. Just wanted to revisit this to see how the HiBore XL driver stacks up against the offerings? Lots of shots seemed to balloon. One golfer said his normal draws turned into hooks but his buddy who is a slicer does wonders with the club and this guy was using the Burner tour model with an open face. Once I hit a second ball with it, I noticed how loud the club sounded at impact. I butt trimmed my existing driver shaft to 44 inches to make it lighter and tighter.

Took it out onto the course and it felt even better. They then go another extra step in providing two different types: That is saying something as with every driver Hobore have purchased, the first thing I do is change out the grip. With the Cleveland my carry was — and I got way more roll, on average 25 — 30 yards, but sometimes up to 50 yards.
A dead center hit is penetrating, a mid-high hit launches high but with minimal backspin, a fabulous downwind driver!
I am a 4 handicap and my previous club was 9. The clubs I tested both had the Red Tour Trajectory shafts in them and there was a noticeable difference in the ball trajectory over my current driver.
I would recommend the red shaft to you. From the tee box I could see that the XL Tour had gone farther but the uphill slope of the fairway prevented a complete view.
I love this club! You can pick them up at a Target. Thanks to everyone posting here for your insight and suggestions! I used Cleveland Launcher Hiborf 9.

No matter how I miss it, the result is playable. I worry that getting the gold shaft will in fact increase your spin, which can reduce distance. I have a feeling the I hit it well but tended to miss too many fairways and was in the market for a new club.

I butt trimmed my existing driver shaft to 44 inches to make it lighter and tighter. So, better safe tkur sorry. Posted 22 February – I tend to deloft the face a bit normally, so I get a great trajectory, plus decent distance and less dispersion than with a regular flex shaft. No more 3 iron tee shots for me. Since trying the 9.
Cleveland HiBORE XL and XL Tour Driver Review (Clubs, Review) – The Sand Trap
Started golf a couple of years ago with some cheap unbranded irons and driver. I think the main cause is to much backspin. I am a very average golfer and previously have never had any confidence whatsoever when it came to my driving.
This is my first year really golfing just learning the game.

The sales assistant said the backspin speed was consistantly around rpm. I would have otur at my swing speed the red would have been better but to be honest I get better results of the yellow shaft and putting ego aside will stick with it.
The regular XL is great, and in fact it has a bit bigger face to hit with. Posted 23 February – That way you get more airtime hiore without substantially increasing backspin, which will shorten distance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
